Surf Gate
Two hydraulic gates sit at the stern, one on each side. Choose a side and the gates reshape the flow to build a clean surf wave there, so nobody has to move across the boat to switch sides.

A tournament-approved ski hull that also produces a surf wave.
Malibu names these systems on its page for the 20 VTX. What a particular boat carries depends on its specification, so ask us about the one you have in mind.

A hydraulic hydrofoil at the transom that lowers the stern into the water in steps. It changes the height, length and push of the wave and works as extra ballast without adding real weight. When the cruise speed is set above surf speed, it moves into a lift mode that reduces drag and helps the hull get up on the plane.
Fixed ballast tanks are built into the hull below the floor and sized for each model. Malibu states that every boat has at least three, in the bow, the lounge and the stern. Each tank fills and drains from the helm, so you set the weight without moving bags or people.
The touchscreen helm. A large primary display and a smaller secondary one run the surf settings, ballast, audio, lighting and navigation, and store profiles for riders and drivers so that each setup is a tap away.
